Jeremiah 3:15 “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding”
God has divinely ordered the steps of our pastor, Rev. Kevin A. Kelly, to this church to serve as our shepherd. Pastor Kelly was called to lead this church family on Sunday, July 11, 1999. Since that time, our church family has experienced tremendous growth financially, numerically and spiritually.
Although young in the ministry, Pastor Kelly is experienced in the area of preaching and teaching, serving and administrating. His first pastoral experience was gained at First Baptist Church, Woodson, AR for 3 ½ years where he led the church in numerical, spiritual, and financial growth as well as built a new edifice of worship. God then directed Pastor Kelly to this local church family to continue his ministry.
Our pastor has lived in the West Little Rock Community for most of his life and is in tune with the particular needs of our community. Community outreach is the heart of our pastor as he engages himself and the church in activities that help to build the community and its people.
He received his formal education from the Little Rock Public School District, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and Pulaski Technical College (Respiratory therapy Program). Pastor Kelly is a licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist and he worked at Arkansas Children’s Hospital for 13 years.
Family life is a major element in the ministry of our pastor and he is married to Sis. Ellana “Vickie” Kelly and the father of three daughters, Nicole, Brittany, and Erica. Pastor Kelly believe that strong families make strong churches.
Pastor Kelly not only preaches and teaches the gospel, but is also gifted in the area of music ministry. He served as Minister of Music for this local church family for 10 years under the leadership of Rev. Billy Simmons. He has had many noted accomplishments in the field of music ministry throughout the greater Little Rock area and the entire state of Arkansas.
The Shepherd that God has blessed our church with, Pastor Kelly, yields himself to the workings and will of God. He is accessible and welcomes all calls, concerns, cares, and complaints.
